CED voice feature: Can you understand it? Mine sounds like a robot talking thru a cellphone inside a coffee can

Is your CED voice feature intelligible? Mine is new, but it sounds like Charlie Brown's teacher "rnur ru ru rnur rnur ru ru rnr"

It's made in China, so it's probably speaking Mandarin.

Contact CED US and check with them. My one is fine. It might be just that you speak real English not some foreign brand of it.

If it had a scouse or geordie accent you might be better able to understand it or not.
