I have several 4 shot Cali. Comp works shotshell holders and wanted to switch to the weak hand loading technique. Didn't want to pony up the money for Progressive Machine ones just yet. I have found the Cali's tend to "bump the rounds into your hand", not a smooth transition. Playing with a flat piece of metal instead and working on tension with the metal bars. Anybody doing somethng/anything else.

For one I unscrewed the back plate/belt adapter and canted the holder tward my loading hand for ease of gaining access to the shells. Second, I very carefully bent the springs that hold the shells in so they don't hinder the grabing/pulse of taking the shells out of the holder. You can bend them back if you tweek them too much.

First i through away the velcro and rubber cemented the spacers in.

Then I lowered the tension bar to the lower screw holes which gave less tension and easier grabs.

I tested each one and labeled them in order of use so I always start with the easiest one and work my way to ones that don't grab as easy. Most the time, unless its a high round count stage, I only use my 1 and 2 caddy so they get the most use.

I also sanded down the rough edges from the plastic mouldings on mine, made them nice and smooth.

Have the clip ons and with multiple on the CR speed belt, I added more velcro on the clips to help keep the weight of the belt from slipping while running around

Here is what I have done with mine. I removed the clip back plates and replaced with a M.O.L.L.E. clip. I then used a screw with a washer to secure the tension spring. I also used silicon to attach the spacer. I use a vest to carry all of my shell holders. I have some pictures but can't get them to load here. Send me your email and I will send them to you.
