Beginning 04.01.09, a fee is now required to advertise a for-profit class in the Competition Class Forums.

There are 2 options:

• $300/year: Advertise as many classes as you want
• $50 per individual class

I highly suggest reading the complete Competition Class Guidelines before starting a thread in the Competition Class Forums.

The quick idea....

A couple of hours of instruction in the morning, in a small class size. (Bonus) After that, we'll go through the stages and I'll coach you through the Rayner's match.

I've been asked about this and just got the go-ahead from Rayner's. I wanted to get the word out.

I'll be working out the details over the weekend (packing up now to head out to Area 8, shooting and wokring the match). PM me with questions and I'll be back online at the first of the week to cover them.

:)

I think I still owe you a beer from a match last summer at Rayners. How 'bout I make it 2 beers ? B)

I'll try and catch you on Friday afternoon at A8. I'm shooting Saturday and you can tell me all the things I did wrong on your stage. Looking forward to Rayners.

We are on.

I'd really like to get the group together at around 9:00 to get up and running by 9:30.

Logistically, I'd like to get a couple hours of instruction in before lunch.

Class cost is $40. No more than 300 rounds required for the class. (Likely less rounds.) I'm not advising to burn up a lot of ammo to improve in one day. This will be instruction. Training will be up to you. The drills we do will be part of the learning process.

You will need pen and paper. 3-ring binder preferred...at least a folder (there will be hand-outs).

Rayner's match is $20 and typically runs less than 150 rounds (I bring 200-250+ per go'round). They charge (only) $5 to reshoot the match. The daylight is good for the next number of months (so, it might be good to plan on re-shooting, as long as you are there anyway).

Send me a PM if you have any questions. Also, PM me if you are 'for sure' going to make it. If I have to limit the class size, I'll go by who has "pre-registered".

The Rayner's have food and bottled drink on concession. Lunch will have us down to the shop/concession area. There is indoor plumbing in the shop area and a port-a-pottie up near the main parking area of the range. I assume that the Rayner's will have us at one of the far bays (I called to make certain, but Tom wasn't home).

We are already up to 5 people.

Looking good.

This is coming up this weekend. I thought I would bring it to the top and give Flex more publicity.

Since I will be shooting Limited 6, I'm hoping I can get a lot of tips about stage breakdown. ;)

There has been good response. We have enough that I probably won't be able to take walk-ons at the range.

On again for July.

I ran a little long last month (short time goes quick). I'll be changing the format up just a bit. Going to get right into some drills after a brief review.

I'll likely try to stir things up every month. Keep it fresh.

Flex-

Which weekend is Raynors?

Any advice on local motels or camping? I'm leaning toward the camping angle for the Saturday night before the match and after the instruction.

TIA

There is plenty of camping in the area. Lots of campgrounds. If you come early, you might check out the "Wilds"...it is an outdoor zoo. You may need a permit (free). Check out: http://www.aep.com/e...ecland/maps.htm

** update **

Quote

Kinda last minute, but I am doing a coaching session at Rayner's this Sunday (July 19).

$40 I coach thru the match. Then lunch. Then a training session. I plan to work on a shot calling drill, instruct on the mechanics of where the vision might ought to be and I'll be preaching on properly hitting positions.

Kyle
