You could get out of those positions more efficiently, I think. I don't want to push one technique over another, but some of those seemed to beg for lifting the leading foot and allowing yourself to get the body moving in that direction (by starting to fall a bit while finishing up the shooting).

An item that jumps out at me is the burrying the pistol in the shooting lanes at the beginning of the course of fire. I can see there wasn't a whole lot of space behind you, but the less amount of space you shove the pistol around the barricade the quicker you'll be able to make that move to the next position. You wouldn't have to back the pistol out so far before you get moving.

Reloads looked good, you brought the pistol up in the face box and looked the magazine in the mag well.

Yeah...I saw that too, but didn't know if he could avoid getting sucked in there. If he has to go in, I was thinking he might as well be comfortable (not crowding the back) and be able to transition to different targets easily.

Taran and Robbie are two that don't seem to mind going further into a window/port. But, yeah...I don't like getting sucked in that far.

I felt your vid was pretty decent. Like I told you earlier you move well. Your mag changes are pretty decent as well.

I saw three things to comment on: I think you could get your left hand to your mag for the reload faster. The reloads were good, but it appeared to take a bit to go from gun to mag.

I looked like you were pogo-sticking (is that what you call it Flex) when you got in place to shoot. You are taking the time to plant and then stand fully erect before shooting.

Lastly, its really hard to tell from the vid what the target arrays looked like, but the shooting cadence sounded like your splits were much faster than the transitions. I could have just been the arrays though.

FWIW.

+1. Yes, that will get rid of the little "hop-step" you do before actually beginning moving out of a position.

Nice shooting, looked very smooth.

Concerning the above post, I saw four things that could use improvement, and one thing that might've shaved time.

On the fourth video it looked like you could've shaved a lot of time if you stepped further back so you could minimize the amount of positions from the ports and not have to pull the gun in between targets.

On the fifth video, it looked like you might could've shot the last position a little further back and then shot down low, you'd shave time by not going as far and not having to get back up but you'd have to run backward a bit from the end. Still, it's only a few extra steps.

On the sixth video it looked like you could've been a little more aggressive getting up from the bed, but other than that it looked very smooth and fast. It also looked like you could've started exiting positions a little bit sooner by starting movement while firing the last shot from each position.

Very nice shooting on choppy stages. The one thing that did stick out was it appeared you consistantly went deep into the ports. It's difficult to tell just based on video if it was necessary, but I'm pretty sure you spent a bit of time throughout the match from possibly going too deep into the ports.

Maybe it was the camera angle, but think safety first. It looked like we were all close to seeing your muzzle at the beginning of the stage.

Marc,

Your transitions and movement through the stage looked very smooth to me. The only two things I saw were it looked as if you were "scooping" the pistol on the draw in the first video. Maybe it was just the camera angle. And what Flex said about explosive movement. Look for jake DiVita's 'drop step - push' post in the forum.
