Hello everyone,
Through a little good fortune I was able to get some CR Speed gear today, but I have a few idiotic questions.
I am assuming that the velcro strip that came with the belt is for fastening the inner and outer together at the front of the belt???The strip is about 2" wide and has their logo on one side.
On their mag holders, I have to change the insert to fit my magazines, what does the plastic pc. that sort of looks like an ejector do? It is about 1/4" wide, 2" long with a thick square on the end.
Sorry for the questions, I have been staring at this all night trying to figure out what that part does. It is the first mag holder and belt of its type for me, so I am confused and excited......
Thanks for all your help,
Zach

Zach,
Having purchased and set up 3 (Glock, STI open, BHP) CR-Speed belt, holster, mag sets in the last year, maybe I can help.
The plastic piece that looks like an ejector is a wedge. If there is some gap between the pouch and the belt, you can wedge this into the gap to stop the pouches sliding from the place that you set them. If you are using the CR-Speed belts, you probably don't need the wedge because they have a natural tight fit. But a belt from another manufacturer might be thinner or narrower and the wedge could be useful.
I don't know what the extra velcro strip is and I don't recall getting one with my belts. I don't believe that you need anything "for fastening the inner and outer together" as they stick together quite firmly.
Does it have a peel-off self-adhesive back on the velcro strip?
I purchased some small self-adhesive velcro strips (made by 3M) from a hardware store. I stuck these velcro strips onto the inside of the mag pouches and holster, so that they stick against the inner belt. This helps hold everything in place and increases the stability of the belt, especially around the mag pouches. If you have 3 mag pouches close together, there is a large surface where the inner and the outer belt do not grip each other. The stick-on velcro strips increase the velcro-to-velcro grip surface. When grabbing for a magazine, the more stable the belt is, the more likelihood of a clean extraction from the pouch.
Maybe CR-Speed have included a velcro strip for this same purpose. Maybe not.
Did you buy the mag pouches with the adjustable tension knob. If not, you can buy these knobs separately from CR-Speed by ordering through their email address. I bought my first couple of CR-Speed versa mag pouches before the adjustable tension knob was added. Recently I bought some adjustable tension knobs and added them. They are very useful for instantly adjusting the holding tension of the pouches.
The CR-Speed products are very good - I hope that you get as much value from it as I have.
Regards
Peter

Yeah, that velcro thingie is to hold the belts together at the end of the outer, but it's not needed.
Notice that the mag holders have two levels of retention. For stand and shoots, mags can be laid just inside, for field courses they can be fully inserted.
