Hi I'm thinking about loading 38 special wadcutter in a dillon 1050 for PPC. Anybody know if there is a seating die for wadcutter?
(I posted this in the "general reloading" forum, but didn't get any pointers yet.)

Thanks,

Seiichi

I have Dillons old set of dies and the nose pieces change, including WC nose piece.

Both come with the round nose / flat round nose and wadcuuter.

Old dies have a stem that is threaded and changes, like RePete said. New dies have a part that flips.
"If you were one of America's Founders, and you'd just surprised the world... by winning a war of secession against the most powerful and heavy-handed government on the planet, and the last thing in the world you wanted for yourself, for your children, or for your grandchildren was to fall beneath the heels of its jackboots again, what would you want the Bill of Rights to mean? And if the first act, under martial law, of that powerful, heavy-handed government had been to try to take your guns away at Lexington and Concord, would you have written a Second Amendment to guarantee its 'right' to own and carry weapons? Would you have written a Second Amendment that was subject to whatever government claims is 'reasonable regulation'? Or would you have written the Second Amendment to forbid government from having anything to do with your guns?"

Thanks guys. I've got all my components ready to load. Now I just have to go pick up my press. I can't wait. Wasn't sure if the die came with a "wadcutter" end, since it's kind of a "specialized" shape. Got lots to learn about round guns!

Thanks,

Seiichi you will pick up a lot by osmosis just by hanging with wheelies.

Good luck, and welcome to the club.

Good luck with your new project. When I was shooting Action Pistol a lot I load ALOT of 38 wadcutters.

It's here! I had to sneak out of work for a few minutes to meet the FedEx guy at a local gas station :goof: to pick up my press, but I got my hands on it. :D Installing it now. Just had to take a little break. It's a thing of beauty, brings a tear to my eye. My 9 mm 1050 now has a twin sister in 38 special. Man I hope I don't end up shooting 45 anytime soon. I'll have to sell some guns to fund my reloading habit.
