Following our last Multigun match one of our shooters suggested using mini-IPSC Metric Targets for our limited range rifle targets in lieu of hard cover or penalty target cover. What I would like to know is if anyone has ever used A4/A and A3/B targets as a way of presenting a reduced size target for limited ranges. I checked at the local Office Supply and I can have cardboard colored cardstock in 80# or 100# printed with the target design relatively cheaply. Your comments would be appreciated.

If you cut the D scoring area off of a regular target it makes a nice reduced range target. It is also what you are use to seeing which helps.

I have taken to using the IPSC Classic (Turtle) for all of our rifle matches. The smaller and irregularly shaped A zone makes for a better challenge at all distances IMO.
