Recent threads have had me thinking about a USPSA Hall of Fame.

Who would we put in our hall of heroes and why?

Here's the deal: Just like the Baseball Hall of Fame they have to be retired from active competition in USPSA shooting to be nominated.

Thus, TGO can't get in yet.

Nominee #1: Brian Enos. All that he brought to the sport while competing. The Book. The Benosverse. I could go on for paragraphs.

Who are your nominees?

YYYYYEEEESSSSS!!!!!! This is what I had in mind (subliminally), but never consciously thought about it!!!!!!! Kimel, what a GGGRREEEAAATTTT idea! This way, newer shooters would have a sense of who came before them.

I would also nominate (not in any particular order):
J. Michael Plaxco
Mike Dalton
Micky Fowler
Bill Wilson
James Clark, Sr.
John Shaw
Bill Davis
There's others, but due to a senior moment I can't think of their names right now.

Would it just be open to shooters or also those that had contributed to the sport ?;

If the latter I would nominate Nyle Leatham.

His photographs of USPSA and IPSC events have probably introduced more people to practical shooting than all others combined.

Nice guy too.

If we are throwing in photographers, Ichiro Nagata has produced some of the greatest photographs of not only USPSA guns, but live action shots that I have seen.

You need to make shooting A's a way of life, so much so that you never, ever, worry about shooting A's. In practice or matches. It's just what you do. That's my feeling.

Johnny shot a match with us this last weekend....

I don't think any Hall of Fame for shooting would be complete without Jeff Cooper, though....

Rich, you'd also have to cross out Doug Koenig. He's still actively shooting for Team S&W. The shooter formerly known as Kippi Boykin is Kippi Leatham, Mrs. TGO, and she still shoots too.

I'd like to nominate Armando Valdez. Sevigny wasn't the first to kick a$$ with a Glock.
