My copy of EZ quit going to the web for me.

June 2006 update:
EzWinScore Version 2.29
Infofile Version 2.29

It used to go the the uspsa site to get the classificatin update file for me, but now it won't kick on IE (I am guessing I have a setting in IE that isn't letting it through ?).

EZ won't take me to the USPSA support page either...as it used to (EZ > Help > EZ Support page)

?

You can go to the support page through the ADDITIONAL CONTENT page, then go to EZWINSCORE SUPPORT page.

I also just emailed the EZDB.txt file to your AOL account.

Hey Flex, 1st question. Does the computer you are using still have internet access?

Best set of tests is to 1st, send yourself an email and see if it goes around the block. Then use any web browser to do a nonsense word search at google and see if you get the appropriate result, quickly. If it doesn't pass both tests, you have an internet connect issue and of course EZ-Win ain't gonna' connect either ;-)

If the machine is connecting with all other web apps, have you changed any firewall, internet security setting since you last connected EZ-Win to USPSA?

Have you by any chance modified the computer by adding new software, or doing OS updates since the last time you successfully conected to USPSA. If so, try backing out of all these updates (step by step) using the restore function in XP (I assume you are in XP).

We conversed by e-mail this morning, so I assume his web connection is okily dokily.

Also guessing that as of 1:15pm today he was on the forum

Me thinks not enough sleep & not getting his Glock fix today (or yesterday) are effecting his eye sight.

What was that goofy blaster you were using yesterday, Flex ???

He didn't specify if it was his personal machine, or a club machine, so item 1 and 2 are based on not knowing anything at all to start (so it's a good troubleshooting kickoff point. IE: Is the power cable plugged into the wall outlet?).

Opps...

I forgot about this...or got distracted...since the last go'round.

I still have the same issues...on this machine (XP).

I am guessing it's my security controls (IE). Where do I need to look ?

I thought I had given EZ specific permission to get on the web...but I might not have, and I'm not sure where to double check that ?

What kind of security software are you running on your machine?

And for what it's worth, you don't really need to use ezws for this at all. All that is is a couple of convenient pulldowns/cmdbuttons that you can use to get ezws to launch your browser with the appropriate web address already in place. In that sense, this isn't an ezwinscore issue; rather it's a browser issue. If you can browse to other parts of uspsa.org, you ought to be able to get to the referenced website (both places refer to the same address)

http://www.uspsa.org/ezwinscore/

Remember, its a password-protected area, you need your information from your frontsight magazine.

I can, and do, get the file the long way.

My issue is that I can't get there using the short-cut which allows EZ to kick start my browser.

(I probably shold have put this in the compueter section...)
