I'm signed up for the MGM 3 gun match in June.  I don't have the shotgun, yet.  Obviously, I'm anxious to start practicing, so as to minimize the humiliation.  After reading all the threads on the different shotguns I decided on the Winchester SuperX2 Mk2.  Two weeks after I place the order with my local dealer, he tells me that delivery time is probably May or June.
I've asked him to get a delivery date on the Remington Competition Master, but I think the delivery time will be equally bad.  So, questions:

1.  Does anyone know of a dealer who has these things in stock?
2.  JP Enterprises makes a limited gun based on the 1100, should I go with that if I can get it sooner?  I've read all the positive comments about their AR 15s, but haven't read anything about their shotguns.
3.  My local dealer has a Benelli M1 Super 90 in stock, should I just put a four round extension on that (and bag the pistol grip) and call it good?  I've been somewhat hesitant to go with the Benelli since reading some of the posts about cycling problems with a side saddle attached, or with creampuff loads.

Sorry about the length of this post, but I would appreciate your advice.

You wouldn't go wrong with the Benelli S90, I have one and none of the problems cited here, but I don't use the side saddle or Tact slugs (although had shot them without problems).

Another thought, why don't you get a Rem 1100 and add the Choate magazine tube, and an Easy Loader.  Probably cheaper than the Benelli, and just almost as quick to get.

JP is running about 4-6 weeks on a full open shotgun. Give them a call, they are easy to deal with. I'd check witha couple other dealers if you really want the Win. That seems like a long delivery time. Try D  and R sports out of PA. dnrsports.com. Sam usually has better prices than most other places and can get dang near anything you want.

There is a lightly used one on gunbroker.com right now for around 800 bucks . I dont know if your interested in going that route but you would have it a heck of a lot sooner . I wouldnt worry too much about being embaressed at the MGM match as I think everyone who shoots it gets embaressed at some point . I have not shot it yet but have gone and watched on several occasions and all I can say is WOW!! it looks more painful than fun but then again thats why they call it the Ironman .

Some additional info, hope it helps:

If you go Benelli I would suggest using a DMW extension rather than the Benelli factory extension.  You can also get a few other goodies from DMW.  Try Speed Shooters for great prices.  I purchased my Benelli from a gunshop in Hobbs NM.  The price was outstanding.  Hundreds cheaper than Phoenix or California.

Mark's 3Gun Gear makes great shell holders, etc.  I do not think you will have a problem with his side saddle.  If you talk with Mark, ask him what he thinks of Benelli.  He will give you the straight poop.

There was a guy on the USPSA boards that was selling SX Practicals at a very reasonable price.  I have not seen his name lately but if you search back five or six months you might find it.  Give him a call.

Briley does fantastic work on the Browning Gold.  Try them also.

As usual JP is pretty outstanding to deal with.
