I am posting here after being off for quite a while.

Good to be back. This is one of my favorite topics of study over the last 12 years, or so.

One thing I have noticed in my shooting is the idea of using tools to get better. I have made this error again and again in the past. I first tried to use zen to get better in the martial arts. Over the years I realized zen does not exist in concious thought, or otherwise. Having to use words as an expedient always gets us subjectively cognizant folks into trouble. The important thing to realize is to just trust yourself to your task through hard effort and just leave it alone. The end result is the end result even if we mind it.

Coming back to competition from other aspects is nothing special, but does allow me the treat of trial and error in life in this activity. It is just a microcosm of everything we are/do/will be.
Competition only allows me to realize it in a more direct way...with no compromise, or vacillation. Just action as intended like many facets.

Certainly we can try to attach some value to it...only to make ourselves feel better/comfortable. But without my wanting to, the game keeps me realizing the path.
Simply an expedient without intention if I can.

I am looking forward to performing and meeting good folks,

See you out there,

Will S.
