This Forum is for sharing information to help match staff produce matches.

From the smallest idea to the biggest...tell us how you have seen things done right...and wrong. (Note: this is not a place to come to vent about a bad match experience...please post elsewhere for that.)

Let me know what sub-forums would prove useful. I've kick-started us off with a few already.

- Stage Props
- Scoring

How about some stuff on running matches.. that aren't the shooting part.. from registration to obtaining RO's to giving out awards and prizes? We've gone around on the prize table topic by itself at least a dozen times elsewhere, maybe those could be profitably moved here. I'd love to help, you know, but I can't..

That is exactly what I want to put in this forum.

And...I'd like to get ideas for "sub-forums" so that when we move stuff here...we can find it easily.

Rob,

That sounds like a good sub-forum.

Keep them coming folks. I can always go back and do some tweaking if need be.

Hi all.
One sub-forum might be WinMSS, for tips and trix to use the program.
I understand it's not used that much in the States, but overseas I think it's the standard scoring program.

Roger,

That would fit under the "Match Scoring" sub-forum.

How about "Range Preparation" sub-forum to cover all the little details needed to prepare the locale -- parking considerations, vendor areas, inclement weather preparations and contingencies, signage. etc.

My thoughts on ths are that we have some subforums off the main "Match Management" forum.

One for Pre-Match stuff (setup, registration, stage design, squadding, etc)
another for "During-Match" stuff (scoring, operations, etc)
and a third for "After-Match" stuff (prizes, awards, ...)
And a place for other match management stuff that doesn't fit those three

Flex may be cranking on it as I type..

Yeah...I've been beating my head against the wall trying to see/make this stuff fit with what I want.

Then it occured to me to make a whole new category.

Flex, I love this idea. For starters, I'd break it down into local match ideas and big (State Sectional and Up) match ideas.
