I need a new range bag for my new STI custom gun and gear. I dont want to go over $100.

I've seen the one in BLUE PRESS by Dillon and it seems nice, and popular at the range.

The one in the TARGET BARN ad in FRONT SIGHT. looks similar and has mag pouches too. (I dont think the Dillon one does, not sure).

Both are around $69, any suggestions/reviews of the two, or another one for similar/cheaper money?

Check out the CED backpack style range bag. Not quite as large as the Guga back pack , but nice none the less. Oh, and it's in the same price range as the others you mentioned.
Guess you're gonna tell me that's a perfect double?!

The bags and backpack from CED are the same as the Dillon ones. Both set-ups are nice and I have used both. I like the backpack for the throw it over your shoulder and go portion, but not the digging around for stuff. Yes, it has mag pouches. The bag is nice for more viewing room and better accessibility of stuff in the bag. I believe it has mag pouches, too.

Both are under $100. The bag comes in all of the standard Dillon colors, including Dillon blue.

Those interested in purchasing an i-shot "Tournament" range bag might think they could find one at www.ishot-inc.com. They would be wrong. Did it go out of production or something? Damned if I can find it listed there.

The Products button kicks you to the store. They seem to have a different part of the site with the Tourny bag on it: http://www.ishot-inc...l/products.html

How to buy it directly from i-Shot? Beats the hell out of me.

I use the I-Shot Tourament bag. I tried the CED back pack but was not impressed with the quatity or workmanship. I had one of the zippers break making the ammo pouch useless and the plasitc separating the bottom ammo storage arrived broke.

Had a friend build our team backpacks, very similar to the dillon ones - same quality materials but with some minor mods, they were personalized (embroidered names and logos) and very well built. They cost us about $30.00 a piece.

I am sure you can have someone build you some to your exact specs, if you can get a few people from your range to order with you, as I assume they must have minimum quantitites.

I just bought the 49.95 bag from I Shot, it is very well constructed and not so big as to be a burden.

Agreed. The two straps do distribute the bag evenly on your shoulders. If you have any back problems, it's a big help.

Hey guys,

Sorry for the delayed reply. Unfortunately, the demand for our Tournament was a tad more than we expected. We sold our last one last week and the bag is currently in backorder. When our qty for a certain product on the online store hits zero, it automatically removes the product. That's why you were not able to find it.

If you urgently require one, email me direct (admin@ishot-inc.com) and I will track one down for you among our dealers. Or should you have any Qs, I'll be more than happy to answer them.

Once again my apologies and thanks for the support guys.

Great! :o I just ordered an I shot Tourney bag for Mrs. Airedale and told her she'd have it for next weekends shoot!

I'll send I shot an email and maybe they can get me out of hot water!

That is some kick-a** customer service! You combine that with excellent product for a reasonable price and you have a winner.

I'm very glad I got my mag storage bags from I-Shot now! When I buy a range bag, I know what I'm going to get.

Airedale,

Does this mean you now have a range bag *and* are a Hari Krishna?

Helmie called me this morning and told me the bags were sold out. He couldn't figure out how his site took an order for the bag. It turns out, I'd ordered it from Gunner's Alley and they are sold out. (I've ordered a bunch of Revo stuff for Frau Airedale recently-forgot who I ordered the bag from.

Helmie tracked down my order and has the new improved I shot Tourney bag headed my way ASAP.

That's customer service!

Not a Hari Krishna though....I do attend St. Mattress of Springs on Sunday morning when there isn't a match :D

Mine was delivered today and I am looking forward to trying it out this weekend. It is a manageable size and has plenty of room for gear, snacks and cold water.

I went with the I-shot. My first one was an older model that developed a freak tear around an external pocket. I emailed Helmie and he sent me a new upgraded shell free of charge and just had me ship the old one back to him.
Works for me.

After some 4 years with a Dillon range bag, I went to the i-Shot tournament bag.

I was basically tired to have 2 different bags: a shooting bag and a tools/spare parts/repair bag.

Now I'm able to carry everything I need in one single, hi-quality bag. ;)
