I have a all factory M&P Pro 9mm with an Apex trigger and forward set sear. Which USPSA division would I shoot in?

Long as you meet the rules, you could shoot it in anything except SS and Revolver.

With the FSS & trigger, you are legal in Limited, Limited 10, and Open. Without, you are legal in Production, Limited, Limited 10, and Open.

Fss and trigger takes you out of production.

Be so kind and quote the rule.

Appendix D4, 21.6, pg. 80

Exchange of minor EXTERNAL components
Sights, firing pins, firing pin retainers, extractors and ejectors MAY be replaced with OEM or aftermarket parts. Any other components which are externally visible may ONLY be replaced with OEM parts which are offered on the specific model of gun or another approved gun from the same manufacturer except as specifically clarified below. Examples of external components which may only be replaced with OEM parts include (but are not limited to): magazine releases, slide stops, thumb safeties and triggers. Special Notes/Clarifications:
• Barrels are considered “external parts” and are subject to specific restrictions in 21.4 and associated rulings.
• A factory/OEM magazine release which extends only the length of the magazine release may be used. A magazine release which provides larger surface area (paddles, buttons) may only be used if it is an OEM part available on an approved model of gun.
• Externally-visible parts from “custom shop” guns will only be considered “OEM parts” if the custom shop gun is on the NROI list of approved Production guns.

No. The FSS can only be used with the Apex trigger and not the stock M&P trigger. The Apex trigger is external, hence the rule that I quoted. The Apex hard sear comes with the Competition AEK, can be used with the stock trigger, and is perfectly legal for Production. If the FSS and trigger were legal for Production, I'm sure that most Production M&P shooters would use it instead of the Competition AEK.

My bad! I assumed he just meant Apex trigger kit, not actual different trigger than stock trigger!

Once again, you cannot run an apex fss gun in production.
