I assume the CNC rig makes everything pretty quick in terms of the machining.

More smiths need to invest in CNC machines.

That turn around rate is insane, and his guns run.

9 days..vs. 9 months...

yep, my Gans open gun runs and runs. Seen other guns from big name buiders choke. Any jams I have are rare and 99% attributed to shitty ammo (me).

Yep, Gary is da man. I've told people for years and some still want that insane 9 month to a year turnaround other smiths offer, for what?

I just chuckle and shoot my work of art.

Very tidy pistol mate. I hope you guys in the states realise how fortunate you are to have access to so many quality and purpose trained gunsmiths.

He does build a very nice looking gun.

Too bad he will not do business with us Californians.

I don't suffer fools gladly.

Gary does build a great gun. He is also amazingly fast. I'm not sure that even he is fast enough to build guns as fast as Brandon flip flops divisions though.

Keep trying Brandon, I'm sure it was only the guns holding you back the last two-three times that you tried open.

I have had Gary build me 3 open gun short blocks. Always fast and the work is outstanding. He tried to retire once but no one listened and kept sending him parts.

When all is said and done I have about $3,100 in parts, labor, and shipping/insurance.

That being said I used the 10% off Black Friday deal at Brownells and got the barrel off here for a great price.

I sent Gary a new slide, new barrel, fire control parts, sights, etc. Tslide was in the white, but had teh signt cuts along with front and rear serrations cut from the factory. The gun was delivered to Gary on a Monday Morning and he e-mailed me a picture of it on Thursday. The rebuilt gun was delivered on Friday just before noon. I love the mat-blue finhish he put on the slide, frame and grip safety. I have two other guns I got used that were built by Gary. One is a 6" Limited gun and the other is Shorty .38 Super Open gun.

That's not CNC

GANS should be more popular... guns that run and no 6 month wait.

So he churns out work that fast on a regular mill? wtf...amazing. Makes you wonder even more what other builders are doing.
