I know I can shoot open and iron sights in the main match but can I shoot open and iron sights in rimfire ?

All the matches I've been to there has only been 1 rimfire gun you can sign up for.

I'd like to see them make Steel Master a bigger deal, you don't see a ton of folks signing up for it.
(course at those prices it does make it tough !)

Local matches or WSSC or others?

Any of the bigger matches. Local clubs would probably allow it depending on the number of shooters.

World Class Steel in Old Bridge, NJ allows it.
At their major "Speed on Steel" match last year I shot 5 guns.

You are most certainly allowed and welcome to enter both optic and iron sight rimfire pistols at the Briley West Coast Steel Championships.

In fact, you are welcome to do the same with optic and iron sight rimfire rifles and of course, centerfire handguns as well.

All of the local clubs we shoot at allow it.

We do 2 runs here as basically 2 matches ie scores nor combined you shoot what you want
