As soon as I can get the pictures posted I will show you my new project also known as a toy.

I had a M-41 barrel that someone had cut the front sight too short to zero. As it was it was useless. Now it has a new replaceable front sight, improved to by use of an adapter, to now use a suppressor. Additionaly, the barrell did weigh 19.8 ounces and now it weighs 17.1 and as if that wasn't enough, it looks real nice, at least in my opinion.

Let's face it, our sport is not for everyone. It is sometimes easier to make excuses than it is to make ready.

How does that cycle with the can on...that is sooo sweet.

I've been thinking about an integral Ruger MKII but this is cool.

I am using a Pilot suppressor and it runs 100 percent. I did notice some point of impact shift, but that may just be due to the suppressor. I don't have a picture to show it, but when you take out the adaptor, it has a large hollow front end. Kind of looks like a 50 cal:)
Thanks to a good friend I now have a picture posted below showing the business end without the adapter.

Sometimes you can find some 41 barrels that are not in great shape at gun shows or possibly a complete gun that has seen better days.

Thanks, it is nice.

Here is a work in progress.

Attached File  DSC00698A.jpg   89.59K   53 downloads

This is a 7.5" barrel cut to 5.5". The 7.5" barrel is lighter than the 5.5" barrel when cut to 5.5" and fluted. Front sight removed, tang removed, 1911 grips, custom alum. magwell, and alum. basepads. If you are contemplating a suppressor or comp you need 0.5" for threads, that's why I cut my barrel to 5.5".
