I didn't want to hijack the other thread, just a similar question..
I want to load 38 super with 145gr rn lead with Power Pistol but I cant find any data. I want to use this combo as I have all those components on hand. I will be using these to get some trigger time, not for any competition. Any weight suggestions for powder ?

Hi,
An 2002 data guide called for the following loads for power pistol in 38 super
115 jhp 7.3 grains power pistol 1345fps
130 fmj 6.8 grains power pistol 1255fps
147 xtp 6.2 grains power pistol 1155fps
nothing for lead 158 gr

How old is the Colt? If it's very old, I would not run full power loads through it...They were notorious for having an unsupported chamber.colt 1911 factory
