How does Autocomp compare in the production of gas?
New question, My wife has bought me a trubor which is inbound. What bullets? They say a trubor is a .355, super is .356. I thought everyone used 9mm bullets. out here alot of people use 9mm 124 Berry's, but Berry's says not to surpass 1200 fps with the plated bullest. My math say a 124 gr bullet must have a min velocity of 1330 fps for 165 PF or a 1370 velocity for a 170PF. MG's are expensive Zeros are not available, recommendations?
Thanks

99% of the 38 super and super comp shooters are using .355 bullets. Plated and lead dont like to go fast, so you need Jacketed. Not too many cheaper options out there. MG, Zero, or Precision Delta, which are probably gonna be the cheapest. I shoot MG 115 jhp in my super.I understand the burn rate charts rank powders differently. I never thought of using the required weight to acheive the same velocity as a determining factor for the comp to run.

Every cloud has a silver lining, but hundreds of people are killed each year by lightening trying to find it.

But keep in mind that tuning a load for a compensated gun can be subject to many factors including your gun's weight, compensator design and how you perceive/manage the recoil impulse. Many folks tend to experiment with a couple different gunpowders to find which one they prefer.
Information on bullets for the 38 Super can be found here:
