My 8 lbs of True Blue arrived this morning, and I am already very happy with my results so far. It is very dense, and one of the first things I did was to move my seating die back to stn 4 instead of 3. Powder spillages are very rare as there is quite a bit of space above the powder.
I started with some of the data posted here, especially 9majcaspian, and went from there. My data ended up a little different, but we both used different COL's. I settled on 8.1 gr, 1.16 oal, win sr primers. Velocity is 1345 avg w/124 .356 and has a pf of 166.7.
One thing that you should be aware of. This powder has one of the highest velocity increases as you aproach the 165 PF. You should be very careful not to make big jumps as you work up a load. As an example, 8.2 had a 1374.5 avg. in my gun. I don't remember a .1 gr ever doing something like that for me.
Anyway, the gun shoots very very good with this load. Less boomy, more crack. Very nice recoil impulse. Sorta snappy, but not violent.
These loads were hot in my gun, but safe. BEWARE if you use this dada in your gun.

.1 grains and that kind of jump? Hope you don't blow it up. That is a sure sign you have pressure problems.

Mike-
I shot up a pound of True Blue through my 9major gun, and I also liked it. My source of SP2 and 3n38 dried up, so I tried 7625, 4756, and True Blue. True Blue was the clear winner, and 4756 never made major w/125gr.
I used the same start data that was provided by 9majorcaspian and worked up from 7.6gr. I did not see the same high velocity increases however. 125 Zero JHP / 8.0 gr True Blue / 1.155 OAL / WSR yielded a relatively consistant 1350fps-ish out of MY gun. (Work up load slowly at own risk)(This data is for entertainment purpose only)
When I get more TB, I will do a more thorough chrono session, and print the data for comparison.

You must see just enough of what must be seen for you to know that what you want to happen is happening as it is happening. - BE

Warpspeed - So far, I have tried
3n37 - I liked it ok, but others said that the flame temp was to high and might cause premature bbl wear.
HS6 This was also OK. But I always thought that my gun wasn't handling as well as it should. BTW, I also had a major load with a 115gr bullet.
HS7 I didn't try this too much as I got a big jug of 3n38 around the same time but liked it better than HS6.
4756 I couldn't make major, but makes a great steel/minor load.
7625 I used a couple of lbs and it also was just ok
3n38 This is what I used the most. I liked it and have only 2 complaints. Cost, and with the volume of the powder, I spilled a lot. On match loads, I removed any case that had even a slight spillage, but kept them for practice, and noticed an occasional reduced load.
True Blue So far, I like the cost and and the way my gun shoots. I need to work up my loads again and see if my variations are real, or just a transcription error. Even with the 170 pf loads, they didn't look overpressure.
Chris - I am being careful, I have been reloading over 35 years, and have great respect for anything that can blow up....
