Nook Simple Touch for Practiscore

The trick to getting it all into EZWinscore is to import stages first, modify the classifier to actually be a classifier, import the registration/shooters, then import the scores. Then I verify all in EZWin and makes sure all DQ's get DQ'ed, and all the other EZWin stuff you do as usual.
Not too hard, but clumsy to say the least.

That assumes that you start by putting all the registrations on the Nook - that's not the way we are currently setup to operate and I'm not at all convinced that's the way we want to roll.Graham...I use the wireless setup that Ken uses at the range...then when I get home I setup the same wireless setup in my home and connect my laptop PC to it. I then sync all my Nooks to one which I call the "Master" and then export all data off it. Not sure where it resides, but the data is exported on the nook somewhere. I then run the Practiscore Importer utility that Ken provides and when I connect to the nook it grabs all the data I exported on the nook.
We do pre-registrations into EzWin and need to export that file along with the master to the Nook before the match starts. I find that it is possible through the use of an SD card but if that can be done wirelessly, it's less to fumble with.

On to the practical aspect of actually USING the software once it is installed.
There does not seem to be a concise list of "How To" instructions for actually using PS on a Nook. The actual scoring process is documented because it's pretty much the same on the Nook as on iOS. But putting things on and getting things off is not so clear.
Before the match:
--Transfer and import the master db file
--Transfer and import a registration file
After the match:
--Export and transfer the registration file
--Export and transfer the scores
As far as I know, the EzWinScore side of these things is covered in the existing documentation.
It may be that the only issue is the actual transfer mechanism. Everything else may be straight forward.
Is it as simple as moving the data via an SD card?
On my todo list is to put together that "How To" instructions for my home club in the way we do things, but I believe that either Alan or Bill had already covered those items in a previous post. I know that Ken has some of the items documented on the Practiscore site.

Would you care to share this?Airdroid is your friend... you get to skip the swapping SD cards step and upload/download files to the SD card that is in the Nook using WiFi.

And I don't know that I'd do it wirelessly, although you certainly can. As we've said now, we like simple. It's simple to just use the supplied usb cable that comes with the nook and plug it into your computer and then use your computer's file manager to copy the needed files to the nook.
And come to think of it, once you get the export files to the nook, don't you still need an android file manager to go find them there?
But you have to have wireless running anyway in your devices for synching back and forth.

Of course... Don't need the SD card. Some times I can be rather thick... And I've downloaded an Android file manager to try out once I get some of this other stuff done, but I'm not sure I need it.It's simple to just use the supplied usb cable that comes with the nook and plug it into your computer and then use your computer's file manager to copy the needed files to the nook.
BTW, I got a little ZyXel MWR102 from Amazon for $28. Set it up as an access point and connected it to my laptop - it's powered by USB and the laptop batteries are good for about 5 hours. So far it's working quite well.

When I try and import that file into PS, it always looks for it first in the SDCard directory. There is not an SD card installed.
How do I get it to look first in the directory (My Files) where I put the file?
