We have been getting several of these posts about the recent Canadian legal process. I've tried to pick out the one with the link with the most information and the least bias.

Thanks to everyone for giving us all a heads up about this...

From Onagoth,

Just as an update.

Yesterday, the bill to end the registration of most shotguns and rifles (and other non-restricted firearms) cleared the Senate.

After receiving a signature from the governal general, the bill will become law.

Records are set to be destroyed immediately.

This is a proud day for Canada and a huge leap in the right direction. The Firearms Act was introduced in the wake of a tragic incident and unfortunately, many parts of it were formed without a rational mind. Today, one of those parts is done.

Time for a celebratory drink!

Thanks!!!
