So for those who have shot the match...any recommendations for a rifle scope?

Right now I have a stock 10/22 with a Volq hammer and TacSol extended mag release. Basic stock (for now) and the weaver mount that comes with the rifle. Maybe upgrade the barrel or stock next year.

I'm only shooting the regional match, no Nat's for me. So it's more of a fun thing right now.

I'm thinking an illuminated reticle would be nice. As for power...is fixed power the way to go? FOV? Target knobs if I can.

Budget...I don't know. Let's say middle ground would be fine. I know that's subjective...humor me.

Thanks!

Darren

Darren: Get ahold of Alamoshooter on the forum here. He has shot alot of Sportsman Team Challenge and is very good at it. Jamie is also a great guy and will help you out alot. He helped me with my Model 41 and what to look for and change. Thanks, Eric

Thanks Eric, I'll PM him.

Figure other shooter may want to chime in as well.

Leupold 6.5-20 with target knobs.

Have rock solid holdovers for 45-90 yards.

STC is the most fun I have had of all the action games.

Hey Darren, I know this post is from a while ago but in case you were still wondering or if someone else had the same question, I would suggest the leupold
vx-3L 6.5-20x56mm side focus target with the target dot.

I would not recommend a fixed power or fov. As you get better u may want to use a higher power for those small targets at 90 yards or change it on the fly for the close targets.

Hope to see you at nationals this year but if it's still not for you we (Nelson custom guns) hold a regional in Phoenix maybe I'll see you there.
