I was watching one of the Ruger Rim Fire matches on the TV a day or so ago and was wondering if anyone knows what combination pistol B.J. Norris was shooting.

Probably his S&W aluminum (or is it scandium) 1911 frame with a Tactical Solution conversion with the no longer available aluminum sleeved barrel.

Based on conversations I had with him in New Mexico this year you are correct. A single stack S&W 1911 in fact.Scandium last time I looked at it.
