I do some precision shooting, and the process of nitriding barrels has been on my radar screen for awhile. Loki offers a nitrided 1:8 twist AR barrel for around $250.
Does anyone have any experience with Loki's stuff? These guys look like they are a serious entrant to the AR world.

I shot on the Loki team last season and 3 of my buddies are now. They make some cool built to order and off the shelf stuff. The owner Erik is a very nice guy and their customer service was always a pleasure to deal with. I run another forum where we did a group buy earlier this year and bought about 55 stripped lowers, 20 stripped uppers and a handful of barrels. So far no complaints and everyone is very happy with their stuff. Loki also sponsored a few major matches this year as well.
So who makes their barrels? I'm looking at one for a replacement on my current rifle.

Does Satern also nitride the barrels, or does someone else perform this work?
I dont have an answer for that. Give them a call.

Satern does not nitride the barrels. Can't remember who does but call them and ask, don't think it's proprietary info.
