I'm shooting a recently acquired M&P 9mm FS in SSP. Love the gun and turning in some of my best times yet. But...I'm the type that just can't leave well enough alone. So, I installed a Storm Lake 9mm (non-ported) 4.25" barrel and am about to install an Apex Failure Resistant Extractor.
My question is, do I still qualify to shoot SSP or am I now ESP?
Rules say in SSP swapping barrel is ok if you are not going to a non standard caliber, but no externally visible modifications. The SL barrel is pretty visible. Similarly, extractor work is allowed but there is still the externally visible gotcha.
I don't have a problem shooting ESP, just want to approach the next match correctly.
Thanks.

Either one is fine for SSP.
Stippling on other than removable backstrap is ESP, magwell is ESP, Apex's new forward set trigger is ESP.

Cool, thanks. I thought about the Apex trigger is I was forced into ESP, but that would replace the USB and sear I just put in so no sense there.
