Want to start loading for my Trojan 5.0 should be picking one up at the end of the month. I have 180gr MG Bullets, Titegroup and Power Pistol whats the boast OAL and Powder you guys are running.

Well I have a fusion .40 caliber kit which is in theory STI parts. I had some 1.135 nominal AOL ammo with plated berrys 180gr heads over between 4.4 and 4.5 grains of titegroup. It was making about 172pf. Montana gold is going to give lower velocities, and barrels vary, but it's a data point.

Titegroup is an obvious favorite and PP is nice but has a fair amount of flash

OLD THREAD COMING ALIVE. Whats the OAL is anybody pushing 1.150? thats what I run in my STI Eagle hopefully I won't have to change the length.

I don't use TG. But I found several posts on the forum saying they use TG in STIs with 180 grain bullets and a lot of them are using OAL closer to 1.17" to 1.19" with powder charges ranging from 4.2 grains to 4.7 grains. Hope this helps.
