I have a question for those of you using a Casepro on your 40's. How "tight" is it supposed to size your 40 brass? I have been checking mine and here is what I discovered -
Once-fired Unsized Brass (Win, Fed, RP) - mic's at .425" - .427" at the base
Casepro'd brass - mic's at .425"
Resized Brass (EGWs Die) - resizes to .419"
Regular Dillon die - resizes to .420"
I always thought that the Casepro was a "roll-sizer" and therefore was sizing the die down to the original specs? As you can see from the measurements above, mine isn't doing that. Do you think there is something wrong with mine or is the Casepro only supposed to size the case "part of the way." Please advise. Thanks.

The casepro will only remove the "buldges" and clean up the rim. Yes, resizing after casepro is a must!

Take a look at the Case Pro die - it resizes from the base up. My case proed brass will not drop into a chamber check doohickie, but a fully loaded round which was caseproed before being dilloned will always fit in the chamber checker. If I skip the Case Pro, the "always" in the previous sentence reverts to "usually.".
I've use the Lee U die for super, but noticed it tended to scrape brass towards the base of the case and sometimes leave a small ridge - a by product of unidirectional sizing, I assume.

Thanks, guys. I was getting worried because I thought he Case-pro was supposed to "Roll-size." I just wanted to make sure everything was working well. Thanks again.
