Down 0, down 3, Two Alpha, Alpha Charlie. You hear these words being called out sometimes very quickly by safety or range officers during the end of a stage but do you really know if they are calling it correctly? Do you know how scoring is conducted in IDPA and USPSA? If there was one thing to double check in these games, it would be how your shots are scored. Steve and Rick talks about how scoring is done and talk about their experiences having done this for a long time.

Dry fire is an essential practice technique that will enhance your shooting ability very quickly. It allows you to practice trigger control, sight alignment, transitions and movements without having to spend time on the range. It is also, a very cost effective way to get better at your shooting sport.

A good maintenance plan and regime is essential to keeping your gun in top condition when competing. You wouldn't want your gun to fail to function in the middle of an important stage or match. Steve and Rick talk about their plans to maintain their guns in tip top condition.

The quintessential division of the modern pistol competition arena. Open guns are typically called Race Guns because of the few restrictions that are enforced to allow a shooter to maximize accuracy, rounds available and raw speed. Everyone knows that the price of ammo has soared to an all time high and it's getting a lot more expensive to train using live ammo.
